Privacy notice
What this site collects, what it does not, and who else sees your details when you buy.
This notice explains how personal information is handled by the studio named in the footer (the "studio", "we"), which is the data controller for this website. It is written to be read, not to be scrolled past.
What we collect and why
When you buy. Your name, email, delivery address, and what you ordered, so that the order can be made, delivered and supported. Payment details are entered on Stripe's secure checkout page and never reach this site. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
When you commission a piece. Your name, email, the description of the idea, and any photographs you send as reference. Photographs are used only to make your piece and are deleted within 90 days of delivery unless you ask us to keep them. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
When you join the mailing list. Your email address, with your consent, which you can withdraw with the unsubscribe link in any message. Legal basis: consent.
When you contact us. Whatever you include in the message, so that we can reply. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
When you browse. This site uses no analytics and sets no advertising or tracking cookies. The basket, your saved pieces and your wall-preview photo are stored only in your own browser and are never sent to us.
Who else is involved
- Stripe processes payments. Stripe receives your name, email, address and payment details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to that processing.
- Our print partner receives your name, address and the order details so that the print can be made and shipped. It receives nothing else.
- Cloudflare hosts the site and delivers it to your browser.
- Mailing list. If you join it, your email address is stored by the studio on Cloudflare's servers and used only to tell you about new pieces. Ask at any time and it is deleted.
We never sell personal information and never share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for six years because tax law requires it. Mailing list details are kept until you unsubscribe. Commission reference photos are deleted within 90 days of delivery. Enquiries are deleted after one year.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to its use, or ask for it to be moved. Email the studio. If you are not satisfied with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Transfers outside the UK
Stripe, Cloudflare and our print partner operate internationally and protect your information under the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision.
Changes
If this notice changes, the date below will change with it.
