Are these made with AI?
Yes, and it is written on every page. Some pieces start as a rough pencil sketch on paper, just to get the idea down; others start as an idea from my imagination. Either way, AI image tools bring in the colour, light and detail. No artist's name is ever used to make an image and nothing here copies another artist's work. If that is not what you want on your wall, I would rather you knew before you bought than after.
What does edition of 50 mean?
Each artwork is printed a maximum of 50 times across every size and format combined. Each print is numbered, the number is recorded on its certificate, and when the fifty are sold the piece is retired and never printed again. The count remaining is shown on the artwork page.
Is it a painting? Does it feel textured?
No. It is a print on matte paper with no shine, so the surface is smooth and flat. Where a piece looks like thick paint, that texture is part of the picture, not something you can feel.
Which size should I choose?
Every artwork page has a size guide drawn to scale against a 220 cm sofa and a 175 cm person, and the see-it-on-your-wall tool lets you place the piece on a photo of your own room at true size. As a rule, art above a sofa should be about two thirds of the sofa's width.
What is the difference between the two papers?
Both are matte with no shine. Archival matte is a 250 gsm off-white paper printed in four colours. Fine art matte is a 200 gsm paper printed in twelve colours, which gives smoother tones and deeper darks. Fine art costs a fifth more.
Does the framed print come ready to hang?
Yes. It arrives in a wooden frame in black, white, light brown wood or dark brown wood, behind shatterproof plexiglass, with the hanging kit included. There is no separate card mount: a white border is printed around the artwork instead.
How long does delivery take?
Prints are made to order in 2 to 5 working days. UK delivery is then 2 to 4 working days, Europe 4 to 8, and the rest of the world 6 to 14. You get a tracking link by email. Prints are made by a production partner close to the delivery address, so a print ordered from Australia is made in Australia.
Do you ship outside the UK?
Yes, worldwide. Prices are shown in pounds and your card is charged in your own currency at checkout. Delivery for your country is calculated at checkout. Orders to the EU may carry local import charges, which are shown before you pay where possible.
Can I return a print?
Prints and framed prints can be returned within 14 days of delivery for a full refund, in their original packaging. Commissioned pieces are made to your specification and can only be returned if faulty. Anything damaged in transit is replaced free: send a photo within 7 days of delivery.
Can I buy a digital file instead?
Not for the editioned pieces. The whole point of a numbered edition is that it is limited, and a digital file cannot be. Commissions can be supplied as a file if you prefer to print locally.
Can you make a piece of my pet, my family, or my house?
Yes. That is what the commission page is for. You describe the idea and send photos, I make it with the same AI image tools in whichever of the three styles you choose, you approve a proof, and it is printed as an edition of one. From £120.
How do I check my certificate is real?
Type the code printed on your certificate into the verify page. It shows the piece, the edition number, the format and the date it was issued, from the studio's own record.
Who prints the work?
Gelato, a print-on-demand company that makes each order with a production partner close to the delivery address, so UK orders are printed in the UK. Nothing is printed until it is ordered.
